“Hear my soul speak. Of the very instant that I saw you, did my heart fly at your service.”
Imran Hussain and Janaina Cardoso recently tied the knot in a lavish affair at the world’s only 7-star hotel, the Burj Al Arab. Their magnificent nuptial ceremony and reception bash were helmed by Jardel Silva, CEO of Eventchic Designs and his incredibly talented team.
The gorgeous couple met through a mutual friend and they both admit that it was love at first sight! What is more, nine months into the relationship, Imran popped the question to Janaina with a stunning Tiffany & Co sparkler as they were onboard a luxurious private yacht.
During the initial phase of dating, Janaina expressed her desire to be wed at Burj Al Arab and from then on there was no looking back! The ‘White Dream’ themed ceremony took place in an open-air venue like no other, the Marina Garden and the reception was held at the aristocratic Al Falak Ballroom.
“The ceremonial tent was designed to have an entrance reception area which was covered in lush floral arrangements especially imported from Holland, from the ceiling to the walls, enveloping the whole venue. The bridal entrance was the main focus of all our designs and to that effect a floral tunnel was created which extended into a 7-meter catwalk, aligned with florals on both the sides. The inspiration for the decor was the Brazilian bride herself, we wanted the decor to truly define the couple and their glamorous lifestyle by adding a touch of elegance, and sophistication to our designs.”– Jardel Silva, CEO of Eventchic Designs
Overall, the entire wedding was designed to bring out the bride and groom’s personality as the decor was very personal and true to their style and vision. It was a fusion wedding, it was meticulously planned to honor the bride’s Brazilian ethnicity while also staying true to the groom’s Pakistani culture.
The bride donned a glamorous, bespoke wedding gown by Elie Saab which featured a three-metre long train and the world-renowned designer also had their wedding date engraved into the custom creation. The groom opted for a classic custom suit by Tom Ford. All the groomsmen wore Tom Ford and the bridesmaids’ dresses were designed by Zuhair Murad.
The night culminated with an exclusive performance by the band, ‘Fortune’ who flew in from the UK, to play at the wedding reception along with a celebratory champagne toast and a whimsical firework display by the sea at Marina Gardens.
