The Arabian Ambiance: Harlequin Furniture

Here’s a quick behind the scenes update of how all the gorgeous furniture was set up at the Arabian Night for the luxurious 6th Annual Destination Wedding Planners Congress! Provided by Harlequin Furniture, the furnishings at the glorious Arabian Night enhanced the overall ambiance of the night. The company is synonymous with being a premium rental service that offers an extensive selection of high-quality furniture for luxury weddings, gala dinners, corporate and private social events. We got in touch with Ms. Divya Ganta, the Senior Sales Manager at Harlequin Furniture Rental and learnt about the company’s accomplishments over the years and their association with DWP 2019.



Tell us about yourself and your incredible company. Where did it all start?


With a presence in the UAE for over 20 years, Harlequin started as a family owned business. It was the first company to introduce European style marquees to the local event industry. Now a member of The Arena Group, publicly listed on the London Stock Exchange, Harlequin Furniture is a part of Arena Middle East and Asia, one of the leading providers of temporary structures and cooling, interior fit out and rental furniture in the global events industry. The Harlequin brand is synonymous with first-class service, offering high quality furniture and décor, supported by a highly experienced and talented team that is passionate about the work they do, surpassing clients’ expectations.



What are the different kinds of rentals you provide and what events do you cater towards?


Harlequin Furniture is a premium event furniture rental service based in the UAE that offers an extensive selection of the finest lounge seating, dining tables and chairs for luxury weddings, gala dinners, corporate, sporting and private social events within the Middle East.



How important is the venue when it comes to showcasing your furniture designs?


We are proud to work with some of the most exclusive venues and hotels in the UAE, regularly. Our furniture is also available for use at private venues.



What was your favorite piece that you provided for the special event?


Our ILUMA lamps. The beauty of our ILUMA lamps is that they are battery operated, remote controlled, and dimmable. A relatively new product in the region, these lamps are proving to be very popular due to their elegance and also their versatility.  As they are cordless, they can be placed absolutely anywhere, indoors or outdoors. The light is warm ambient, not a cold LED light and most importantly the lamps are very dramatic even as an event concept, particularly when used en masse. We are finding that a lot of our new clients are utilizing the lamps as the key concept for their setups. Alternatively, they are a great accompaniment to most décor, always relevant, and hopefully once you’ve used them, you will wonder how you managed without!



How would you describe your experience of working as a furniture partner for the luxurious Destination Wedding Planners Congress 2019?


It was a pleasure working with the QnA team and the other event partners to put together the set up for the second evening of the DWP Congress 2019.  It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our products to some of the world’s leading destination wedding and event planners which is why we are proud to have been the furniture partner for the Arabic themed night of the Destination Wedding Planners Congress 2019.
